Early Career Researcher Travel Bursary

EUGEO are delighted to announce six travel bursaries to support Early Career Researchers presenting a paper at the 7th EUGEO Congress in conjunction with the 51st Conference of Irish Geographers, taking place at the National University of Ireland Galway, from May 15th – 18th 2019.

Travel bursaries of €500 each are available to support the travel and EUGEO conference participation of six early career researchers. The bursaries are available to those early career researchers living outside the island of Ireland.

To apply for an EUGEO Early Career Travel Bursary please send a short CV (max 5 pages) with a statement of interest (max 2 pages) outlining the paper you wish to present at the conference and providing details on the impact of participation for the applicant.

 

Applications for the EUGEO Early Career Travel Bursary can be sent to Kathy.reilly@nuigalway.ie and frances.fahy@nuigalway.ie by Wednesday February 13th.

 

Upon completion of the conference successful applicants are expected to submit an electronic copy of receipts to the value of the bursary. Receipts can be emailed to the conference co-chairs (details above).

Please note: For the purpose of this scheme, and in line with previous EUGEO travel bursary schemes, an Early Career Researcher is defined as any applicant under the age of 35, and registered in one of the member societies of EUGEO.
