Call for sessions

Now accepting
session submissions

The conference programme will be organised around in-person sessions lasting 90 minutes. Please note that this is an in-person conference and hybrid and online sessions will not be facilitated by the conference organisers.

We are currently welcoming submissions of fully-formed organised sessions, including paper sessions, panel sessions, and workshops. Submitted sessions must be fully-formed with presenters, panelists and/or facilitators already recruited, and you will be asked to confirm presenter details in the form. Submitted sessions will be reviewed by the conference organising committee with the aim to programme all viable sessions. You can submit your fully formed session up until the close of the call on 23.59 Friday 27 March 2026.

If you already submitted a session proposal for a paper or panel session and your session is currently being advertised on the conference website, you do not need to submit another form. However, you will need to confirm the names of your accepted presenters or panelists to the conference organisers by the deadline of 23.59 Friday 27 March 2026.

Details of session types
  • Paper sessions will comprise of multiple (max. 5) 15 minute presentations with time for questions and/or a discussant, chaired by the session organiser. As session organiser, you must recruit all presenters (min. 3) prior to submitting the session form to the conference organisers. This means you will need to advertise your session independently, collect and select abstracts for presentations, and communicate to presenters the outcome of their submission. Approved presenters should be directed to submit their abstracts to the session via the presentation abstract submission portal, and papers not accepted by you to your session should be directed instead to submit to the general call. All presenters need to be registered to the conference.

  • Panel sessions will comprise of a panel discussion with approx. 3-6 panelists and a chair chosen by the session organiser, with time for questions from the audience. Panel sessions can include authors-meet-critics panels. Organisers will be responsible for recruiting panelists, and must do so prior to completing and submitting this session form. Please note that panelists do not need to submit a presentation abstract, but do need to be registered for the conference.

  • Workshops are sessions that can take any other format, which could include but is not limited to a roundtable discussion, world cafe discussion, or collaborative session with non-academic collaborators. Organisers will be responsible to recruiting all workshop facilitators prior to the submission of the session via this form.
